Austria - Webster University in Vienna Summer 4 Week Program

Summer
Vienna, Austria (Map)

For over 30 years now, Webster's Vienna campus has been providing a high standard of education in Austria. Today, Webster Vienna is a truly international community with over 500 students representing 70 different nationalities and faculty from over 20 countries.

Webster Vienna is situated in a classic Palais, known as Palais Wenkheim. Located at Praterstrasse 23 in the 2nd district near the Danube Canal, the campus is just a few steps away from the center of Vienna. Built in 1826, Palais Wenkheim features tremendous architectural detailing, both interior and exterior. Palais Wenkheim is able to support as many as 1,000 students. The campus offers an abundance of space for student learning, studying and interaction including classrooms, academic and staff offices, recording studios, computer labs, and a library. Throughout the building there are places available for students to meet and study. A popular meeting point is the Student Lounge on the ground floor with a Starbucks coffee corner.

Wester Vienna is offering two 4-week study abroad sessions this summer. Walk in the footsteps of some of Vienna's greatest composers, experience performances first-hand, and explore the connections that exist between music and psychology.

Webster University requires a cumulative minimum GPA of 2.5.  Exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis.  Applicants must be in good academic standing with no disciplinary record.

All courses are taught in English by highly qualified faculty. Students do not need to know German to apply. The majority of people in Vienna speak some English, however, learning a few basic phrases in German is always a good idea. The German language course is very popular for study abroad students and helps them learn to communicate in German. The Vienna campus offers a variety of courses in various disciplines, all of which are available to study abroad students.

Undergraduate students of all majors are welcome to study abroad at Webster Vienna even if their major is not offered in full. Webster Vienna offers a wide variety of General Education courses and electives in addition to core courses for majors such as Finance, Economics, Business and Management, International Relations, Media Studies, and Psychology.
