Ghana – Webster University in Accra Semester

Fall, Spring, Full Year
Accra, Ghana (Map)

March 24, 2023, Important Update

Unfortunately, due to financial and enrollment constraints, the Webster Ghana Campus is transitioning to teach out mode and will close by the end of 2023.

The Webster University in Accra program website will be removed from the SUNY Geneseo Study Abroad Office website.

Since opening its doors in March 2014, Webster's Ghana campus has been thriving in academic excellence, providing new ways to teach and foster global citizenship. Small class sizes allow for intellectual discussion and opportunities to build and develop genuine long-lasting relationships with fellow students.

Webster Ghana is located in East Legon, a town within the Greater Accra region, and is relatively close to other universities. Accra, the capital of Ghana, is located in southern Ghana bordering the Gulf of Guinea, and is approximately a 3.5-hour drive from Lome, Togo.

The campus itself offers a welcoming, friendly environment with modern classrooms, a library, a computer lab, 24/7 wifi access, a student lounge, and a recreational room.

Webster University requires a cumulative minimum GPA of 2.5.  Exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis.  Applicants must be in good academic standing with no disciplinary record.
